Concrete sustainable development policies

• Our equipment acquisition policy favours top-of-the-line equipment not only recognized for its printing quality.
• We constantly look for processes that maximizing energy savings and eliminate, or at least minimize, use of non-recycled and non-recyclable materials.
• We raise employee awareness of sustainable development issues through adequate information and various measures allowing recovery of recyclable personal waste.
• Our maintenance and cleaning products are ecological, of course.

Reduction at source

• For the past several years, we have used alcohol-free printing processes based on vegetable inks. Our inks are flax or soy-based and GRACol certified. These processes ensure the stability of the inks on the paper and generate a low volatile organic compound (VOC) rate.
• We implement printing processes that minimize use of ecologically less healthy materials. For example, the use of recycled paper, water-based acrylic varnishes and mineral inks, in particular, is a concrete measure that reduces the use of toxic materials without compromising the quality of the printed products.
• Our aqueous varnishes are applied with Anilox ceramic rollers. These rollers allow more uniform and efficient application than traditional rollers.
• We use organic shrink wrap for individual packaging.

Recovery and recycling procedures put in place

• We invested in the acquisition of a complete solvent, varnish and wastewater recovery system, allowing recovery and recycling of 90% of these materials.
• Throughout the company, we have installed signs and recycling bins that maximize recovery of recyclable waste.
• Excess paper is always recycled.
• We use production processes that reduce the quantity of durable waste, such as film plates, that optimize the use of ink and paper, and that reduce energy consumption.

Impacts on our service offering

• We have designed business solutions that increase productivity while reducing the quantity of durable waste. For example, we offer our customers inventory management, order taking and proof preparation and approval modules that eliminate production and circulation of paper.
• Within the context of our assigned mandates, we suggest various means to our customers to minimize environmental impacts, including selection of recycled paper, varnishes, inks and formats that maximize use of paper while eliminating losses.
• We offer a complete line of FSC, SFI and PEFC certified paper.
